Privacy

Plain-language summary of what this test does with your data. This text still needs legal review; we do not claim GDPR compliance by ourselves.

What we need, and what we don't

No account, no ICCID, IMSI, phone number, contact details or exact GPS position. No advertising trackers. Location is a country you choose, optionally a city from a list, or a position rounded to about 10 km on your device.

Your IP address

A measurement server necessarily sees your IP address while you connect. It looks it up in local IP databases, then returns the raw address only to your browser. Our database stores the derived network (ASN), the IP region per source, and a pseudonym that only means something within one test: the same address in another test gets a different pseudonym. A hash of an IP address is still not anonymous. Server logs contain no addresses and no grants.

Retention

Test sessions are deleted automatically after the configured retention period (30 days by default). Your local history stays in your browser until you clear it.

Separate choices

Running a test, contributing to community statistics, and sharing a report via a link are three separate choices. The last two are off until you choose them after a test, with a preview of what is shared. A contribution keeps country, the brand and connection you entered, your settings, the day and per server the median and spread; never an IP address, city, position or time of day. A share report has a random link, expires after 1 to 30 days, is never indexed, and can be revoked with a code only your browser holds. You can withdraw a contribution or delete the whole session from the server at any time.
